...Horizontal and Vertical Circulation of the SALT LAKE CITY...
Salt Lake City is a great example of horizontal and vertical circulation in architecture, but also exemplifies the integration and coherence that should exist between the circulation of an urban space with a building, solving it with the continuity of the square to the internal areas of the building, through the horizontal circulation and use of the same material on the floor to create a sense of continuity of space.

Looking at the circulation in the outside of the building, we can see that the spiral and oblique approaches to enhance interesting aspects of the structure across the perspective that is seen walking into the building.

Also, we can see the use of vertical and horizontal circulation in the square: the stairs to connect the different levels established for the pedestrian use.

In the internal spaces of the building we can see the two types of circulation in each floor:

The horizontal circulation is the communication of the different areas divided by concrete or glass walls to allow entry of lighting, these areas are connected by lateral or central corridors.

The vertical circulation is the communication of each floor, either upward or downward through Spiral "grand staircase" and three glass elevators; and also the communication of a common area that overlooks a central space in the lower level of building that allows for ventilation and lighting of each floor.
